RUN TO RACE, RACE TO RUN

South Lebanon is the home of the Autumn
Blast Half Marathon. The half marathon starts and finishes
in Rogers Park in the heart of South Lebanon. The course
is mostly flat (see elevation map, left) with
its lone hill about 2 miles into the course. The first portion
of the race is on rural roads with the finish stretch along the
Little Miami River.

Special thanks to the Village of S.
Lebanon. The Village is providing us with a great start
and finish, closing some roads for our start and is welcoming us
to their community.
Where is South Lebanon?
Closer than you think! Take the 71 freeway north to the Rt.
48 exit (just north of King's Island). Go south a half mile and turn left at the traffic
light after Lowe's. You're there!

WALK DIVISION
The Autumn Blast Half Marathon is a walk
friendly race. Course cut off times of 4 hours (20 minutes per
mile) leave plenty of time for all walkers and runners to
complete the course.
The Walk Division is for walkers only.
(Note if you enter the run division of the Autumn Blast Half
Marathon you may walk
or run or any combination thereof). If you are unsure whether
you are a walker then you should enter the Half Marathon Run so that
you have the option of running should you wish to do so.
If you enter the Walk division of the
Autumn Blast Half Marathon you will be scored as a walker and
agree that you will complete the race by
walking. Running any portion of the race is prohibited.
Awards will be given out in the Walk
Division.
COURSE CUT OFF
Course cut off time are 20 minutes a mile.
You must make progress through the course faster than 20 minutes
a mile. That means you must go through the first mile faster
than 20 minutes, the second mile faster than 40 minutes and so
on.
We will be
doing a rolling closure based on time. You must maintain a pace
of 20 minutes a mile. If you are not on a 20 minutes a mile
pace and you wish to continue you will do so without support. No course support will be provided to those
participants slower than 20 minutes a mile.
TIMEKEEPING
The IPICO SportsTag system will be used to
time the race. Tags are to be attached to your left shoe via
the supplied tie or laced into your shoe with your shoelace. The tags are to be returned at the finish
line following the race.
There will be timing mat at the turnarounds
to insure course integrity. The mat will be
there to make sure everybody goes to the turnaround before
returning.
Results will be posted on this website the
day of the race.
AWARDS
Age Group awards will be given in 5 year age
divisions for Half Marathon Run and 10 year age divisions for
the Half Marathon Walk.
Divisional (age group) awards are based on TAG
(chip start)
time.
2019 COMP ENTRIES FOR
WINNERS!
Any athlete who breaks the course record will
win a comp entry for themselves and 3 of their friends at any Autumn
Blast Half Marathon. 2018 Overall winners (unless you break the
course record then you get the higher prize), Masters (40+) and
Grand Masters (60+) all win comp entries to the 2019 Rocket Man and
Autumn Blast Half Marathon. This is for the Half Marathon Run
Only.
Finisher awards will go to all
runners who complete the course in under 4:20 and all walkers
who complete the course in under 4:20 hours.
IPODS AND AUDIO DEVICES
The Autumn Blast Half Marathon
discourages the use of personal music devices. This is
especially true as a portion of our course is on the
Little Miami Bike Trail. Not only are
they a danger to the athlete wearing them but they are also
dangerous to those around that athlete. If wearing an audio
device results in you being unable to hear verbal
instructions or commands, or approaching vehicles or course
marshals on bicycles, you may be asked to relinquish the
device or cease running. That being said, the Autumn
Blast
Half Marathon recognizes the futility of trying to prevent
personal music devices and will not outright ban them.
Please take responsibility and use good judgment if you opt
to wear an audio device.
ENTRY FEES
Entry fees are non-refundable and
non-transferable. Once we accept your entry, you will not
receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or
sell your number to anyone else. Due to the extraordinary cost
of putting on the half marathon, and per similar policies at all
running races, this policy will
apply to all entrants and is in effect whether you are injured,
have an unexpected family/business emergency, have a medical
emergency, etc. There are no exceptions.
PARKING
Please see the parking map (posted soon). Obviously the better parking will be
available to those who arrive early. Please review the
parking map for parking options. If you are arriving late,
it would be best to choose a parking area that is a little
farther from the starting line.
T-SHIRT/REFUND POLICY
Entry fees are non-refundable and
non-transferable. Once we accept your entry, you will not
receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or
sell your number to anyone else. Due to the extraordinary cost
of putting on the half marathon, and per similar policies at all
running races, this policy will
apply to all entrants and is in effect whether you are injured,

emergency, etc. There are no exceptions.
Because we
are offering technical shirts, you must enter by October 10 to
purchase a shirt with your entry. If you wish a women's size we
will order you the size indicated on your entry.
